Son Parc

Son Parc forms part of the municipal district of es Mercadal , being situated on the north coast of Menorca, approximately 20km from Mahon.

Description

The beautiful, gently shelving sandy beach at the low-key resort of Son Parc is perfect for families, due to its shallow waters.  It is also fairly unique in that some of the sand is coloured pink! Watersports are available here and it is a firm favourite of both the British and Germans.

The golf course here is the only one on Menorca, which of course pushes up property prices in this region. Indeed there are several exclusive villa complexes in the area, as the course is the main reason for many tourists choosing to stay here and many residents to make this their home.

The centre of Son Parc itself is very small, having only one main street known as ‘the strip’, which is populated with a few shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

A very grown-up resort, Son Parc does not really cater for children, attracting the more mature tourist and keen golfers.

There are usually a number of properties for sale in Son Parc, both villas and apartments.  A five bedroom villa will normally be priced at around €850,000.
