Located on the south west coast of Mallorca, around 20km from Palma, Santa Ponsa, along with Palma Nova and Magaluf make up the municipal district of Calvia. Next to Santa Ponsa is the exclusive and newly developed Port Adriano, which has been designed for the mooring of very large and expensive yachts. Description

Established in the thirteenth century and now a favourite resort for both Scottish and Irish holidaymakers, Santa Ponsa is a lively town, although not on the same scale as its neighbours.  It has a principal beach, with a small beach set in a sheltered cove, a short walk away.  The waters off both beaches are relatively safe and suitable for swimming, with watersports facilities available.

There are also a variety of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants in the town, as well as live music venues.  All, however, cater particularly for families with children, rather than drinkers and clubbers.

For golfing enthusiasts, there are two excellent golf courses here – Santa Ponsa I and Santa Ponsa II, with the latter being exclusively for use of members only.

Although Santa Ponsa retains little of its original character, it remains a charming little resort and makes an excellent base for travelling into Palma. Surrounding and overlooking the bay is where you will find the many beautiful villas which we have available to buy in Santa Ponsa and Port Adriano.
