Santa Eulalia

Location

Situated on the eastern coast of the island, only 21km from the airport, Santa Eulalia is Ibiza’s third largest resort and a popular region with those looking for property for sale in Ibiza.

Much more family-oriented than the larger resorts of Ibiza Town and San Antonio, Santa Eulalia, otherwise known in Catalan as Santa Eularia des Riu, named after the river which runs through it;  is nevertheless endowed with a bustling nightlife including more relaxed bars, restaurants serving dishes from around the world, and discos.  It also has a good variety of English pubs for those looking for a taste of home.

The beach in this resort, as with most resorts on the island, has a beautiful beach, measuring around 300m. It has a wonderful promenade running alongside it, playing home to hotels, open air restaurants and sea front apartments.

The main road running through the resort is lined with typical tourist cafes and gift shops, although there are restaurants of a much higher quality dotted around.  Some areas of Santa Eulalia are closed off to traffic in the evenings, allowing for a relaxed, peaceful stroll or evening meal.

The Passeig de s'Alamera, a renowned tree-lined avenue surrounded by cosmopolitan open air cafes and food shops, is always busy in summer months, with numerous stalls selling crafts, jewellery and ethnic clothes.

For those who prefer an element of history to their resort, the Museum of Ethnology is near to the Passeig de s’Alamera, perched upon a hilltop, along with its beautiful white church.
