Punta Prima

Location

The small resort of Punta Prima, along with S’Algar, forms the municipal district of Sant Lluís, on the south east coast of Menorca.

Description

A particularly quiet resort, Punta Prima nevertheless has a large sandy beach which can become very busy, and a shop selling day to day essentials, as well as two supermarkets. The sea around Punta Prima can be quite dangerous, however, due to its offshore currents, so swimming is not advised.  

The town has grown quite substantially in recent years due both to tourism and investors buying property in Punta Prima.  There are currently plans to develop a promenade in the area behind the beach. 

Although still fairly small, the resort has a selection of bars and restaurants overlooking the beach, as well as a couple of gift shops.

A small, quiet resort such as this inevitably commands high property prices.  A four bedroom house in Punta Prima with sea views can be expected to reach a figure in excess of €1m.
