Playa d’en Bossa


Playa d’en Bossa is a lively town, popular with clubbers and situated only four kilometres north of Ibiza Town.


This resort caters mainly for the British and German package holiday tourists.  Although not as busy and raucous as San Antonio; Playa d’en Bossa is a haven for younger holidaymakers looking for an energetic and entertaining break on Ibiza.  As such, many of the facilities here are geared towards that market, with a plethora of bars, restaurants and clubs scattered along the beach and into the town.  The resort is a true party place, with many pubs and clubs only closing for a couple of hours each day.  For this reason, investing in a property for sale in Playa d’en Bossa would make an excellent source of income.

The main focus of Playa d’en Bossa is its beautiful beach which is two kilometres long, making it the longest beach on Ibiza.  The waters are beautifully clear, covering a relatively flat bed of sand, making swimming relatively safe.  Water sports, particularly windsurfing, are also popular here and there are numerous facilities.  

There is a waterpark located close to the town centre, which is always popular with families, whilst a regular bus service shuttles both residents and tourists alike to and from Ibiza Town.

Much of the accommodation in Playa d’en Bossa takes the form of apartments, which are rented out on a self catering basis to holiday makers, particularly on the beachfront.

Potential investors interested in buying a property in Playa d’en Bossa should note that during the summer months, the focus of the resort is on evening entertainment, usually lasting until dawn, so sleep is virtually impossible! For that reason, it is advisable to purchase property here for use during September – April or to rent out to holidaymakers.

If the property is to be used for rental income, it might also be advised to use the services of a management company, who will take care of the apartment for you and clean up after each party has left.  This will ensure that it remains useable and attractive.

A three bedroom luxury apartment on the beachfront at Playa d’en Bossa can normally be purchased for somewhere in the region of €375,000.  A rental income of around £600 - £1600 per week can be achieved.
