Location

The bay of Talamanca is only a fifteen minute stroll or a quick trip in a water taxi from Ibiza Town – an ideal mode of transport for those with a property in Talamanca.

Although in close proximity to Ibiza Town, Talamanca is a very different resort, its sheltered location and geography offering relaxation, a laid back atmosphere and now and then, glimpses of the true Ibiza, with many of the beach bars patronised by actual locals, rather than simply tourists.  

Getting around the island from here is easy and should you not wish to drive, you can take your pick of buses or water ferries.

Because it is relatively quiet, families are drawn here each year.  However, although the resort has its own gently sloping sandy beach, (one of the largest in Ibiza) and shallow waters, it is not rated particularly highly nor geared towards watersports, so many holidaymakers choose instead to spend their days in Figueretas or Ses Salines.  There is, however, a pretty promenade which runs along the whole bay, playing host to many beach tavernas, high class restaurants and cafés.  Elsewhere in the resort, there is a range of shops and facilities including banks and supermarkets.

Talamanca offers the best of both worlds.  For children, there are a variety of boat excursions available from the marina and the Aqualandia Water Park nearby, whilst its close proximity to Ibiza Town means that a selection of livelier bars, restaurants and shops are on its doorstep, without being affected by more rowdy tourists.  For this reason, many people choose to make their home here.

Talamanca is a particularly sought after area for those looking for a family-friendly property in Ibiza. Its peaceful atmosphere, with an array of facilities nearby, means that property owners can demand premium prices.  For example, a four bedroom house in Talamanca, with views of the coastline across the bay to Ibiza Town, can easily reach well in excess of €1m.  Much of Talamanca therefore, is populated by the well-heeled and millionaires, attracted by the dual lifestyle and world of choice that the resort can offer.
