Cala Llonga is about ten minutes drive from Ibiza Town, on the eastern side of the island.

Description

Cala Llonga is sheltered by steep hills on all sides, populated by tall pines, giving it an air of seclusion.Previously a haven for smugglers, this beautiful bay supported a principally farming and fishing community until the 1970s, when tourism took hold.  Now a well established yet small, low-key tourist resort, there are a number of shops, bars and restaurants in the area, making it ideal for families.  The beach at Cala Llonga is famous across the island for its gently sloping shelf, making it safe for even the youngest of swimmers.

The resort’s distance from both Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia means that holiday makers and residents rarely come into contact with tourists and clubbers from those areas, although the extensive facilities available in the two towns means everything you need is either at your fingertips or at most a short drive away.  Golfers are kept entertained by the renowned Roca Llisa course, a five minute drive away.

Properties in this region have for some time, achieved a 30% increase year on year, making buying a property in Cala Llonga a sound investment decision.  This is particularly so if the objective is to rent the property out to one of the many thousands of holidaymakers who spend the summer months here each year.

Although relatively inexpensive compared to properties in Formentera;  Cala Llonga is, of course, a beautiful holiday resort, which raises the average price of a property here.   Detached properties, particularly those on higher ground among the forested areas can usually be found starting in excess of €400,000; property for sale in Cala Llonga on the beach and those with sea views will of course command higher prices.
